Rural Business Awards 2021
We are so happy to be finalists in the Rural Business Awards - North, in the category 'Sustainability and Environmental Impact'.
This finalist place recognises our hard work to support and regenerate the natural environment, to operate a sustainable and truly green business and to share our experience, knowledge and skills via the School of Sustainable Living and Wellbeing, to empower people in our community and beyond, to live more confident, independent, sustainable, healthy and fulfilling lives in harmony with nature.
Having opened the SOSLAW in 2020 during lockdown, it's early days for us, but we have made a good start and we have ambitious plans for the future.
We have already been working with universities and students locally to support their education and provide project placements and mentoring support.
We have agreements going forward to work with Northumbria University Business School, The Open Wilding Project, Houghall College, Durham and Forest Schools / Teaching Trees.
We are currently in process of setting up opportunities for volunteering, apprenticeships and work placements.
Results of the Rural Business Awards are announced in October
We have everything crossed for this one.
